Many years have passed since I arrived in Brazil for the first time, in 2004, when I first became a volunteer for ChildrensAid after meeting Ricardo. After this experience in England and that summer in Brazil, I was no longer the same person. I had become infected with this dream! I got funding in Spain for Ondina Solidaria in March 2006 along with a group of friends and family who, from the start, felt the necessity of participating alongside me in this dream, realizing solidarity actions in Spain. I am a teacher and always feel so happy to see the joy that shows in the eyes of children and adolescents when they receive a hug, a kiss, a little present, some advice, anything, whether emotional or material - these small details make them smile and feel themselves to be cherished and special to the world. The children are always eagerly awaiting the arrival of volunteers to do activities with them and to learn. It is difficult to describe on one page all that I could say... But the essential thing is that to be a volunteer, as much in Brazil as in Spain, is an experience of life that - thanks to all the positive experiences that I carry with me - has changed me a lot. And, above all, I can only thank all those that helped me on the path. I continue dreaming and constructing this dream, because it is already a reality. We never feel alone in this Work, as each day it grows more, with new people and new ideas. A huge hug
